Description
It was a random book Dilandau found in the library and felt like giving it a read. Something about mythical creatures and characters of Russian folklore. It comprises of almost everything: rusalkas, vodyanoy (havmannen in Norwegian), Alkonost, Sirin, Gamayun, Baba Yaga, Koschei the Deathless, and one Firebird.
That intrigued him a bit. The Firebird.
...didn't one Russian he loved have a Firebird birthmark on his back?
He read more about this mythical fiery bird, said to be both a blessing and bringer of doom to its captor. An object of a difficult quest. Its fiery feather serves as a premonition of a hard journey to come. He was so engrossed in it, he didn't realize dark red sparks suddenly emanated from the pages before they turned into soft trails of warm light. All of a sudden he could see a familiar form slowly coming out of the pages. He couldn't believe what he saw, his eyes grew wide with surprise.
"K-Kazu?? How dids you get in deres?"
Said figure said nothing, merely smiling softly before leaning in and kissed the young man gently on his lips. Dilandau just remained in his spot, clearly shocked by what just happened. He didn't know whether it was real or just some bizarre dream, but even behind the shocked expression in his pupil-less eyes he felt the same warm gentleness he grew so familiar with everytime the two were together.
It didn't matter any way at all, it was only the two of them then, as he basked in to the warmth, and the gentle kiss, not noticing his eyes slowly softened and closed.
